Equipment Recommendations
To get the most out of your cycling trip you should be prepared for everything the trails and the weather have to throw at you! The following list is a guide line for what to bring to get the maximum out of your mountain biking experience. the list is not exhaustive so bring any essentials you think we've missed.
- mountain bike (in case you don't rent one)
- jersey(s)
- cycling shorts with a quality chamois
- helmet
- full finger bike gloves with a padded palm
- cycling socks(synthetic or lightweight wool)
- arm warmers
- leg warmers(or long bibs)
- cycling shoes
- hydratation pack with zippered utility pockets
- water canteen with hydratation liquid
- spare tubes
- hand pump
- MultiTool(preferably one with a chain breakerunit)
- knees and elbows protection
- quality rain jacket(preferably Gore-Tex, with pit-zips for ventilation)
- wind jacket(lightweight and form-fitting)
- sweater(fleece and form-fitting mid layer)
- top and bottom baselayer(syntetic or lightweight wool)
- sunglasses(polarized are ideal)
- camera(phone or poit-and-shoot, and a GoPro or other POV camera)
- phone
- neck warmer(or BUFF preferably)

IN BETWEEN 4 MOUNTAINS ON MOUNTAIN BIKE
This package for 4 days aims itself to unite the most attractive bike trails around the ski resort of Predeal, in 4 lovely days, in which the areas that are passed through are of an breathless beauty, and the gastronomical, sightseeing or sport experience to be memorable as well.
The difficulty level is not very high, so anyone with few knowledge about mountain-bikeing can have an wonderful experience.
DAY 1
The trail starts from the center of the ski resort Predeal, and calmly climb towards the Susai Chalet, for aprox. 6km.The road at the beggining is on asphalt (2km) , after it turns into a gravel paved one for the rest of the distance.
At the crossroads we stay focus on going foreword, and after 2.5 km we reach the wonderful meadow that surround the Chalet.
We take advantage of the hydratation break to grab an energizing bar and to set into BIKE ENDURO MODE for downhill: set suspensions, fix helmets and protections for knees and elbows.
From now on we are on the woods on single trail and the surface is strong under our wheels.The descent is pretty quick and bring us some technical parts, but nothing to overcome us.
In Saua Calului we turn right on an fenomenal single trail (narrow and quick) which has flow all the way down.
We get out of forest at the base of Clabucet Ski Slope, and stop for a Pizza at Faast Afterski, right at the base of the skiing hill. The host takes out couple of cold beers, just to make this day perfect.
